Beautiful Scarlet
3 stars The songs here are largely forgettable, particularly the middle songs. One can expect to find Greg Lake singing and Emerson playing, by all means a real ELP album even though Palmer is gone. There are bombastic keys and some lengthier workouts, although the album definitely places more emphasis on a more song based format. The music is very inoffensive, ranging from loungelike to AOR, quite accessible albeit quite mediocre. Also the drums are quite thumping', courtesy of Cozy.

Favourite track Step Aside

Overall if you like ELP, don't miss out on this album. That being said it isn't a masterpiece just an acceptable album.
