5 stars This another title I purchased solely because of this site! Thanks again guys! As soon as the album arrived, I recognized the cover as one I had seen so many times before in record bins, but never picked up because at first 1) I didn't know who Steve Hackett was, then later 2) not sure he could produce a good solo album. Boy, was I wrong on that front!!! This is a great album. Part Mike Oldfield, part Genesis, Steve combines elements of both and comes up with 100% STEVE HACKETT and 100% listening enjoyment. Phil Collins turns in an excellent performance (vox and drums). Steve put together a Prog album that hangs together well, has good ideas and wonderful musicianship. He did not give into the the temptation to make an album that serves only to highlight his guitar skills (I don't want to mention Eric Clapton by name!). Bravo Steve! It is also clear why he would soon part ways the other lads from Genesis. The Top 40, pop diddy direction they would soon explore would not have suited a Prog legend like Steve Hacket. A wonderful, meaningful record. A must in any music fans collection.
