EMPIRE

I don't find this album to much interesting. Back in 1990 I think Queensryche sounded more or less like any of the most popular metal band on the scene. They where no different from e.g. EXTREME, and not so very progressive in my ears. Straightforward guitar rock with some ballads now and then. Not much to attack or challenge you as a listener. Geoff Tate has a clear and strong voice (as always) but that is not enough to make it an addition to any prog music collection. I can go for 3 stars but that is an absolute maximum.
