Progressive Biography

I live in the south of Germany and am prog addicted since my early youth. I oftenly reach out for this site to write some helpful reviews to the music fans out there. I still keep on learning more about progressive music and it's fascination. It's a great thing to share thoughts about music with people all over the globe, since it is the most contributing thing in life and is a worldwide understandable language, speaken all over the world.

I was always into Metal music and in the 90's I've discovered bands like Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Queensryche or Psychotic Waltz and found my love for the heavier side of prog. Through these bands I became interested in where the influences of these bands came from. Soon I was introduced to classic prog and bands like Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Van der Graaf Generator, Camel, ELP, BJH and other great prog bands from the 70's. I was blown away by the intensity, atmosphere, beauty and artistic approach of this music, collected the most important prog classics and now got a nice collection of records, which counts over 800 yet and keeps growing and growing (also thanks to the archives!).

I join this site since about three years now and really want to gratulate the administrators for delivering such great artists and their releases, which I can review in my point-of-view and am able to discover new artists and releases, which weren't familiar to me in the past. It was an exciting time in the past three years to see how this site progressed to something that huge and it makes me glad to be still a joiner and a official member/collaborator.
And the best of all: The archives still keeps becoming more popular and even better. Prog on!
