5 stars The first and best Renaissance album was published in 1969. In this time, there was just few bands like this. The classical rock was mainly presented by the Nice and.... well, Emerson. All other classical pieces like ELP, first Beggar's Opera, first Egg and others was published a year later. That's why I rate this album so high. Great unusual classical parts acompanied by some psychedelia and maybe folk influences. The singer, she has nice voice (although it is no Haslam) and her performance sits in the mood of album. Her best song is undoubtly Wanderer. It is also the best track on album. The opener is also great and the final song is worth of anyone's attention. It is exceptional album and in my opinion, although the next Renaissance incarnation made some great records, this was first and...let me repeat one more time, the best.
