3 stars I still haven't made up my mind about this album. Not being overly familiar with many Porcupine Tree albums I am unable to judge if it is similar, but I don't think there is much in common with Deadwing or Sky Moves Sideways which I do have. The music is much darker and moody, and generally slower moving. My only concern with the album is the sameness of the tempo throughout despite the totally different individual tracks. One that does stand out is Cloudy Now which has a haunting catchiness (if that's a word). The title track and Glow are two other smooth songs which I really like. Included with the CD is a second disc with two extra tracks and an excellent live version of Cloudy Now plus a video enhanced track of Blackfield. The cover art adds to the feel of the album very succesfully if somewhat gloomily.

I can undestand why this is such a highly thought of work, but I don't think its to my taste, and so I must mark it down slightly on what is probably its true worth.
