3 stars This one is certainly better than the lame debut. It has DEPECHE MODE's awful cover (no, not "Enjoy the Silence" or "Personal Jesus" but another everyone's favourite - "Stripped") but it's the only flaw here. Songs (pretty dark and melodic) are better constructed and less boring (some moments are even OPETH-like). "Arte Novecento" was produced by Dan Swano, but it's far too behind another Swano-related projects like OPETH (who released their genius "Morningrise" the same year) or OCTOBER TIDE (good energetic Doom-metal). Again, this album is recommended mainly for Doom-metal fans/collectors, but if any progger wants to know how OPETH would sound if they weren't so great, he can check this CD out.
