After six years of maturing, another VSOP clip from the vast cosmos of Øresund Space Collective jams got wrapped inside striking graphic designs of Påhl Sundström. Twelve minutes durating freeform blast captures the authentic studio feeling via audible conversations of band members on the start, and recording does not conceal the process of searching balance for musician's sonic dialogue. Their interplay of the band goes well as usual, but this single seems slightly frustrating due lack of both lenght and scarcity of dramatic developments on the potential of improvisational levels. Have managed to experience these aural tunnel visions few times on live concerts, and I would really recommend attendance to those even more than this particular recording. But what I really like on this capture is the emphasis of dynamic space rocking over ethereal soundscapings - I recall the latter were more on front on concert of 2007 in Helsinki. This preference being ofcourse just a revelation of my own subjective tastes, and there is nothing wrong with calm meditativeness. Sometimes more hectic open rock just seems to pour more vitality to the cup of everyday's endurance from the vase of Innovation's Holy Spirit. I would warmly recommend to allow Dr. Space and his friends to elevate You from mundane obligations of normal life for awhile, orbitting our singular home planet and from there to musical clusters beyond. The internet archive page could be mentioned as a good launchpad for such stress-relieveing voyages.
