3 stars 3.5 stars, actually!

One of the top DT albums out there. The problem for me, however, comes from the lack of direction in this album. The beginning starts of great with songs like 6:00, Caught in a Web, Innocence Faded, and Erotomania. But, then something happens. The magic that was the first part of the album fades away and here comes the monotonous, dull, and repetive riffs of what might be considered pseudo-death metal. In fact, apart from 'The Mirror', the whole rest of the album bores me except for the fantastic last song, 'Space-Dye Vest.' Lie is such a terrible song, it's one of the worst DT songs iv'e ever heard. Well at least i can listen to the beginning of this album and then move on...

Defintely recommended to any DT fan, and a fan of the slower grungier progressive metal. THIS one is probably the beginning of progressive metal for a black metal fan...rather than Images and Words.

A great start, a boring middle, and a fantastic finish. (For some reason i can hear a friend in the back of my mind saying, "Thats what she said..." Hmmmm....)
