4 stars I have to say, this album really took a while to grow on me. From my first listen i was rather shocked at the strangeness of this album, having no prior Genesis experience. Three listens in, i started hearing all the little extra percussion and sounds going on, i started thinking "Hey, it seems these guys did skimp on filling out the music". Now after probably my 6th or 7th listen i understand what people think is so great about this album. It is really good, and it has a quaint storybook/fairytale feel to it that i have not ever gotten from any album before. Well, actually i guess i have, i felt the same way with JT Thick as a Brick. The sounds and atmosphere that ooze from this album really work wonders for it, and really take you away. Unfortunately i cannot give this album 5 stars, because it did not hit me or affect me enough for it deserve 5 stars. However, what i can do, is say that i absolutely believe it deserves 5 stars from OTHER people. Just not me.
