2 stars Hard to rate or have unnecessary pity (nobody or at least not me likes to listen and review bad efforts but since I paid good-money, I am entitled) for such an unequal release by Maciej Wierzchowski aka VANDERSON an electronic musician & producer from Poland.

This 6 track project starts out quiet promisingly, sound wise it is dynamic but as it develops the real influences, this more or less young musician (1978), surely encountered in a post popular electronic music peak, show up and that is where things get out of focus.

I guess due to his age, he skipped out (or was amazed?) by the zillion albums and cassettes that stocked up the record stores to carry the "new" synth wave for the whole family to enjoy. As it also served as background music for elevators, supermarkets, airlines, etc. etc. These releases based themselves on the goal to "transform" artsy and exclusive or even unfriendly modern electronic music for the easy listening masses.

Well the bad news about this "The Farewell", 2015, resides precisely on that. Most, if not all, of its best proposals are overshadowed completely by this compulsive sweetening when composing and arranging to the point of sounding anything but unique or original. And sadly, very much like those zillion records, this album could suffer the same fate, oblivion of the masses.

**2.5 PA stars.
