4 stars Discipline (the album) is where I was first introduced to King Crimson, the most consistently creative and interesting band in prog rock history. The best rock radio station in Chicago played "Elephant Talk" often in the early 80's and I was smitten. Information and commentary on each song on this sampler can be found by reading the many reviews of the brilliant original album. I'm assuming that the versions on this sampler are the same as the full album.

The thing is, "Indiscipline" is my least favorite song on the album, so it's the last one I would want to hear on a sampler. That personal choice is the only issue that prevents me from rating this single at more than four stars. The quality of the material on this promotional single is up to King Crimson's usual high standards. This release is definitely worth purchasing, if it's selling at a more reasonable price than the typically absurd rates on Ebay!
