2 stars PIKE 132 - CHAMBER OF DRAWERS is the 31st album released by BUCKETHEAD in 2015. All instrumental. All instruments played by BUCKETHEAD. Clocks in around the half hour mark at 28:27.

Another alternative metal jam session. This album consists of three tracks. Two long ones. One short.

The title track starts things with one of those grungy alt metal riffs and then continues its down-tuned sonic assault for 13:04. This one is very repetitive and okish but i'm not really diggin' it, so i say meh.

Track two "Where Winds Meet" clocks in at 11:27 and this starts out like a doom metal track. Slow and space between drawn out chords but turns into a theme type of chord progression that sounds like a soundtrack to a doom TV drama or something but then becomes a down-tuned doomy monster again. Love the cymbal action with doom chords. This becomes a different beast altogether as it morphs into different moods and musical textures all the while keeping the doom and gloom aspect in tact. This is a great track.

Track three "To The Basement" clocks in at 3:56 and is a decent murky doom / alternative mix of riffing on the lower and higher registers and has a bounciness simultaneously makes me feel like i wanna hurl on a roller coaster but the gloom and doom of overdosing on too much peptobismal. OK but not OMG great.

The only track that i really like is the second which is 1/3 of the album, so 2 stars
