4 stars Get this for Big Black Dog alone, as it is a spacey 17 minute trip that should be experienced. Motorpsycho has a formula down now, and that is not a bad thing. They are making excellent progressive rock albums with a 70s soul, and fans will be right at home with Here Be Monsters. This is also a great place to start for newcomers since the last three albums have a similar formula. In The Fishtank 10 and The Death Defying Unicorn could be their least formula offerings, and are also excellent choices. However, Here Be Monsters is so enjoyable as it offers excellent musicianship, in that laid back spacey rock wrapper. They are such a great group to chill to, it is a shame that more people do not know about them. It is hard to choose a favorite album with all the variety in their catalog. Here Be Monsters is an excellent addition to your Progressive Rock collection, and a continuation of a their established sound.
