4 stars Short and easy. Some members changed since the great En Avant Doute, and the superb Response Incongrue a L'ineluctable, and so it changed the structure of the themes. They are much more balanced, fewer variations of tempo, the world-music sound has disappeared and it has been substituted by Floydian cuts, at times histrionic, soundtrack-like, but the freshness is still there, the composition is just great, more mature, more daring. Though I miss the variations of tempo (personal like) the music is subtle and deep at the same time, not sequentially as in former albums, but mixed; there are fewer surprises than in former works, but the sound is full, you won't miss them. My favorite pieces are the entrance in 15H40, the leode work at Dans Le Formol Au Museum, Le Miroir aux Alouettes, marvelous, subtle in the first half and perfect in the second with a flying Leode sailing over an Arabian rhythm.
