4 stars Fish keeps chasing the Muse. Subtleness and inspiration blend here 50-50. Again, there are no hits in this album, but he hasn't lost a bit of musical craftsmanship. This 13th Star contains some memorable themes though, like Openwater, Dark Star, Circle Line, and Where in the World. In some themes he gets haunted (again) by Gabriel's, a curse that appeared to had gone in former albums, but the product is excellent anyway. We should thank Fish for not going down the commercial path as many other Prog Stars, because he has the charisma and the brains. Instead, he seems pleased enough to play around with quiet Scottish-tavern melancholic tunes and load them with delightful arrangements for the calm enjoyment.
