3 stars What we have here is a nice selection of Iron Maiden tracks. When it comes to bands like Iron Maiden you can guarantee that all the compilation albums are pretty much going to be the same. And as this IS Iron Maiden, you can rest easily knowing that it's likely to be a good compilation whichever songs go on there.

As usual all the big hits are here such as 'Run to the Hills', 'The Trooper' and 'Can I Play with Madness'. But also as usual, there's always some songs missing, including 'Aces High', 'Be Quick or Be Dead' and anything from their first two albums.

Though this isn't a terribly bad collection of songs, I feel that for the overall Maiden sound you'd be better off hunting down 'Best of the Beast'. Despite being ten years older it has a more well-rounded track listing. Also the packaging does a better job of summing up the band. 'Edward the Great' has a few notes and maybe one or two pictures, but nothing to really make you think that Iron Maiden are anything to shout about.

A nice addition to any collection, but for new fans to the band I'd recommend 'Best of the Beast' over this one.
