![]() In general, the album bores me a bit. It seems that the music is made to show how brilliant Emerson is and how brilliant Bonilla is. I don't have the idea the album is made for the music. The album is ment to be very spectaculair (also if you look at the organ on fire and the piano on fire on the album). But the music is far too much focused on the spectaculair, that your ears would be tired after listening a while. The record isn't very special. It's just a confirmation to show that Emerson can play all kinds of keyboards, but there is no really brilliant moment on the album. There is nothing wrong with the musician-ship, but I think Emerson has to stop ego tripping and has to focus a bit more on the music itself. The production is also far too polished to my taste, and in this case this isn't good for the raw energetic and agressive sound, which Emerson used to have with 'the Nice' and 'Emerson Lake & Palmer'.
