4 stars Basically 'Led Zeppelin, the debut album of Led Zeppelin, is a Heavy Blues album and not have connection with Prog. It is true that Led Zeppelin be a great album but only in Heavy Blues side.

I start this part of review with the escription of 'Communication Breakdown' and I note that this song is a great Proto punk song. So, one of my preferred all time song is a very heavy song and also a very savage song. Not only for 1969. The other side of Led Zeppelin in 1969 is represented by two Blues standards: 'You Shock Me' (by Willy Dixon) and 'I Can't Quit You Baby' (by Willie Dixon), two great Delta Blues. In the middle of this two boundaries great songs are: 'Good Times Bad Times' (a sort of Proto Heavy Metal song), 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' (a very good post Psychedelic [but not Psychedelic] song, not heavy because more Folk that other), 'Dazed And Confused' (the first Zeppelin evergreen) and another Proto Punk song (because this is a pure Psychedelic Blues Rock'n'Roll) 'How Many More Times'.

End of my note: Led Zeppelin is the album of Jimmy Page, one of the best axeman still today. Jimmy Page with Jeff Beck and Tony Iommi are the firsts true Heavy Metal axemen!

In conclusion I think that 'Led Zeppelin' is a typical post Psychedelic album. Great for all who love the origin of Heavy Metal. Certainly 'Led Zeppelin0 is not a Prog album.
