4 stars An unbelievable album by one of the best Prog Metal bands on the planet.

Consisting of only six tracks, every song here is a true epic. With the fantastic 15-minute opener 'Cliffhanger 2' and the shorter 'Legacy', 'Colors' and 'Society of the Mind', Shadow Gallery already have a winner on their hands. Yet then they bombard us with 'First Light', a 34-minute musical odyssey that will leave you completely speechless. A song that really has to be heard to be believed, it is crammed full of all of Shadow Gallery's trademark vocal harmonies, guitar and keyboard solos and fascinating lyrics sung through Mike Baker's beautiful voice.

The musicianship, as ever, is as good as you'd expect it to be. Clearly on the same level as bands like Dream Theater and Symphony X, every member of the band gets plenty of time to play around here and show what they can do. And it doesn't get boring for a second.

Nothing else left to say to be honest. Incredible album by an incredible band. If you like heavy or progressive music then you should own 'Legacy'.
