5 stars * first I would like to apologize as this is actually a review for the cd HOUNDS OF LOVE. I had placed a star rating score for it already and was unable to figure out if I could add a review which would be seen on the home page or if it would only go to the particular album/cd page. Since I really want to share the blog that I have included.

HOUNDS OF LOVE-THE NINTH WAVE: The Pinnacle of popular music!

I have loved this album since the first time that I heard it! Although I must admit, I didn't understand it fully, I did intuitively see and feel the gravitas that was being expressed! Along with The Dreaming, these are my favorite recordings of her's. The first side of the album 'Hounds' consists of 5 independent songs, 4 of which I love and the last, Mother Stands For Comfort I've grown to admire although there is still the slight 'out of place' feel to it in regards to the general flow of the side.

Side two of the album is were history is truly made! I have heard people describe it in terms of completely based on a witch trial or a drowning after falling through ice while ice skating, and although I've come to believe that these are visions presented within the suite, I believe that they are actually pieces of a whole story (sorry- unintended). I believe that the over-arching view-point stated within The Ninth Wave is to live in the moment and not to take life or people, friends and family especially but also those we meet along our journey of life for granted. I find this piece so stunning that at our last family get together at Christmas time, I made my brothers and sister and each of their adult children a cd copy (I'm sorry, KB, but if I had just told them to go purchase the cd, I'm afraid that some of them would already have it-those with good taste, or else those that didn't wouldn't buy it and sadly I would have found it difficult financially to purchase 15-20 copies. So with my heart in the right place, I apologize for the copies made with pure motives I assure you). Also I gave them all a printed copy of the blog that I am including here which, although I haven't heard or read many thorough descriptions of The Ninth Wave, I've come to believe that this blog is a definitive and enjoyably descriptive accounting of the story-line and overarching physical, psychological and universal ramifications that the protagonist encounters within the narrative. If you are a fan of The Ninth Wave, I cannot recommend more greatly that you read this blog! Please do. It is obvious that it was written with love and respect and I believe it will help most everyone with the general appreciation of this masterwork!
