4 stars If I had to describe Paper mice's Funny Papers in one sentence I would say It is a mix between Jazz and punk. It sounds like a labyrinth of complex punk rock riffs. The songs in this album aren't very long but it is made up by having a complex sound. It is very jazzy in my opinion. The closest thing I could compare it to is if Gentle Giant was a Hard Rock band and didn't have a piano. It is fast in its playing, feeling a bit like metal. All of the Musicians are skilled with their instruments. I highly suggest you give this album a try.
