3 stars On Force Majeure we find Tangerine Dream further exploring their rock side. To my ears the result is rather fragmented and it doesn't quite gel with what Tangerine Dream is normally about. Nevertheless it's a very popular album and I can imagine it's a favourite with the more prog oriented fan base, but to them I would recommend the swirling Cyclone above this rather poppy Alan Parsons prog rock format. Anyway, the entrancing sequencer days of the past are over and done with, but at least they are compensated here with enough enthusiasm and inspiration. Unfortunately, also that was soon to disappear completely from all Tangerine Dream's output.
