DEEP INSIDE

Here we have another wildly talented and fun Eastern Europe based heavy progressive rock/metal act with an inexcusably goofy name. On Sound Goat Project's debut record Deep Inside, the band pulls together an undeniably catchy track list with an abundance of genuinely endearing surprises. In order to not spoil these surprises for the listener, however, I won't go into any more detail about the music you can expect to hear.

Of course, the downside of an album having musical surprises as its strong point is that repeat listens can be substantially less rewarding as the novelty almost immediately wears off. But regardless, there's plenty of good material here that bodes well for Sound Goat Project's future. If only they could do something about that stupid name ...
