5 stars Simone Simons sounds phenomenal on Omega like every other Epica album. Her vocals is a major draw, but Omega is the biggest release to date incorporating huge orchestral moments, amazing musicianship, fantastic songwriting, and a top notch production. It is a heavy album with the signature growl vocals balancing Simone's angelic voice, and also soft with beautiful interludes. With 12 tracks clocking in around 70 minutes, it is a longer album that always engages the listener with bombastic passages and lush moments. This is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in Epica, and a must for fans of the band. Highly recommended.
