THE FINAL EXPERIMENT

This album isn't bad. But compared to The Human Equation and Into The Electric Castle I just don't feel that it's very worth listening to. There are a lot of good melodies and ideas, but it's all too raw. Here you could see that Ayreon was a diamond in the rough, but the music just isn't developed enough and AAL definitely had a long ways to go in terms of his composing. This record can be enjoyable, but truth be told I'd have to be really bored and going out of my way to hear something that I hadn't heard in a long time in order to wipe the dust off it and pop it in.

One final question. Why can Arjen Anthony Lucassen never get any decent death metal singers? There are so many good growlers out there, just do a decent casting, for jebediah's sake.
