4 stars As much as I love this album I cannot give it the complete 5 stars. There are some fantastic moments in the opening track " GARDEN OF DREAMS" but it seems disconnected and doesn't have the continuity an epic track should have. Nothing links the 18 sections together and when it closes it feels as if you've listened to 18 dufferent tracks. 18 well written and well performed tracks but seperate tracks nonetheless. I don't blame the band, how easy can it be to put together a song that's supposed to last close to an hour and tie it all together?

Basically, I do feel that this is an album that while it may not be essential to your prog collection, it is a must ahve if you like the FLOWER KINGS as I do. GARDEN OF DREAMS plays well as long as you understand the first 18 tracks are just that. The rest of the album showcases the band's considerable talent base, even on some of the lass popular songs like "Stupid Girl." and "Psychadelic Postcard" which happens to be one of my favorite.
