4 stars This album follows Kaipa's landmark of perfect meeting of prog music with classical and folk influences, making their music an "easy-to-enjoy" experience, based upon rich and colourful melodies and a great guitar and key work.

The leaving of Roine Stolt was with no doubt hard for the band, but I think Per Nilsson is doing a great job in this record, prooving to be a good replacement for Stolt. A very well done production give this record a kind of analogical flavour while using perfectly all the new digitial tech facilities, allowing the listeners to appreciate the whole experience of compositions as "The Words Are Like Leaves", "The Seven Oceans Of Our Minds" or "Electric Power Water Notes".

Kaipa's albums arent normally considered as true masterpieces (to my ears Mindrevolutions IS a masterpiece, but I have to admit that a lot of people think differently), but they always deliver quality, and "In The Wake Of Evolution" is undoubtedly a worthy effort.
