2 stars Well, a metal album, speed-trash metal, 1986, a good year, and Metallica offers this album, where apparently the first song tells us that the music used in this album is speed and heavy guitar sounds with interesting changes, battery is a common theme sound with the same style and times, where in the middle of the song has a change, and good solos from the student of Joe Satriani, Kirk Hammet make goods and agressive solos.but from that part. there is nothing progressive in the song, a classic speed-thrash-metal song.

Master of puppets:along with One, enter sand man are big ones and one of the most popular songs of this band, where the heavy metal aspect are used and heavy changes, but the pace of the battery follows the same step, then in half of the song a interesting change with great melodies on guitars, interesting moments, but for my personal taste, no more, and I've never liked the melody of the vocals in the song, master!, master! simple truth,so Simple.

Disposable heroes:what I admire about this song is the rhythm changes and guitar solos, but my general problem with many albums by metallica is the melody in vocals, do not offer much, are very simple, you could say that this album has 10% progressive, and as we are in a page of progressive-rock, this album does not apply here.

leper Mesiah: starts like the typic hard rock song , a song that in the beginning promises a pleasant melody but later there is no more to say about it. Orion: continuing with the same theme throughout the album, where the fierce distorted in the electric guitar are present and where the composition is really easy without apparently a specific direction, then we find a shift where the base is a vislumbrante drums and other riff on guitar, but if you listen carefully this is really repetitive and where every sound sounds logical; a metal sound.the first 3 minutes are in the same veins, and then begins only something different with Kirk on guitar with apparent melodiy and agility. I really like the change that comes in 4.00, with a blues style, with feeling, space and passion, this really complete the song very well, and the Bass sound extremely well, at 5:45 you hear a change in melody guitars make the song more interesting.

damage inc: interesting start , then again with the same sound throughout the album, and again back-trash-style speed metal, and the twin voices of all the style-speed-metal trash that is not really my cup of tea.

In a sense, master of puppets is a great album for lovers of speed-thrash-metal, is excellent to listen with that purpose, this album opened the doors for many bands to come, including dream theater, otherwise speaking in terms of "progressive" this album has nothing to offer, then my rating is based with that type of judgment.

2.5 solid stars.
