This is the type of music that makes for a well-balanced progressive diet. It's loaded with all the daily prog essentials: liberal use of keyboards and mellotron, deliciously complex music, layer upon tasty layer of vocal harmonies, and much more. Each experience rewards the listener with newly discovered nuances, tenderly tucked amid each expertly performed masterpiece. There isn't a bad piece on this album, and it definitely leaves the listener wanting more. After listening to music like Glass Hammer's, I can't help but wonder why prog never regained the popularity it enjoyed in the 60s and 70s. Of all the traits that describe prog, two of the biggest are true musicianship and song writing capabilities ... and Glass Hammer has both in abundance.
