LIQUID SCARLET

This Swedish debut represents everything wonderful about prog. It's tight, complex, melodic, and has the ability to be surprising. Influences range from King Crimson to Anglagard to Foxtrot-era Genesis, but plenty of originality abounds here as well. Keyboards feature mostly mellotron and Hammond, and the guitar playing recalls Fripp at times and no one at other times. The lyrics are quite interesting as well. All in all a very impressive debut. Highly recommended.
