5 stars Aphrodite's Child last album found the band deciding that they all should take different musicals paths, leaving only Vangelis Papathanassiou wanting to create a concept progressive rock album. Although the term "progressive rock" came a few years later, Vangelis was at that time looking for a different creativity, a way of expressing himself in a more avant garde taste, wanting to create a more theatrical approach of his material. Of course in the album all the Aphrodite's Child members play (with the addition of some friends on other instruments). There is also the passionate perfomance of one of Greece's best actors-Irene Pappa in a really obscure track of the album. The lyrics and concept of the album were produced by a famous greek director Ferris The album is ahead of it's time and it reminds a little bit of Pink Floyd's Wall which of course came out about a decade later (when Pink Floyd were in France for touring they watched an Aphrodite's Child concert and they spoke highly of them at that time). It also has a lot of greek music mixture with progressive rock in a pagan folk style with a lot of dark themes. Absolutely brilliant and in my opinion one of the best 15 progressive rock records ever!!! (Check definetely Iraklis Triantafilidis' "Se Agnostous kosmous" very nice greek progressive rock album in 1976).
