4 stars I think that this is Hawkwinds best album. Before this they were too 'trancey' and 'spacey'.Here they write some actual songs and crucially they still have Lemmy to make them rock. The highlights are Psychedelic Warlords and Lost Johnny, both classics that have stood the test of time.Simon House also adds some atmospheric filler to the album with his keyboards on the title track ensuring the album gets a change of pace, unlike earlier Hawkwind albums. After this album Bob Calvert steered the band in a different direction (still good though) , but this is the best of the era in my humble opinion
