4 stars Seem like a few people here don't like this album, which is a shame as it's actually very good. Brian Eno's re-edit of Pnoom is a funny little track that will catcht the attention of anyone - ideal for introducing newcomers to the wonderful world of The Can. Then Sonic Youth slow down and noise up Spoon to marvellously dreamy/scary effect. And it goes on from there... The UNKLE remix of Vitamin C is particularly successful re-imagining of the original, as is the highly darkcore junglist version of Father Cannot Yell.

OK, it may not be for everyone, most particularly the old men who liked prog back in the day and are re-buying their old record collections on CD, but that's just because they're old men who don't want to understand the scary modern world of electronic music. Anyone with all their own hair and teeth who have experienced the delights of rave culture will probably get it far more quickly, and who knows? might even open them up to the wonderful world of Can.
