4 stars Osanna's fourth album has shorter in length tracks than their previous magnus opus, but keeping their highly symphonic progressive rock sound. Many say that this album is not as good as their previous albums but don't believe it.Landscape of Life is full of King Crimson/Van Der Graaf Generator veined progressive with very good use of mellotron, guitar and saxophone/flute. It is really impressing that although the band was at that time breaking up, the album sounds so complete! Elio D' Anna's sax work is excellent and Rustici's guitar work remains insane and beautiful. Vairetti's voice has improved and the English spoken lyrics are interesting too. Add the wonderful collaboration with Cervello's Corado Rustici on guitars and some vocals and you have one of the greatest recordings in the Italian prog field!
