5 stars The third time is the charm. This for me is the absolute best album by ELO, and a masterpiece at that. ELO has definitily found there ditinctive sound, and Jeff Lynne has finally found his singing voice. The instruments sound like the muscians really are comfortable with them, and know what they are doing. They are some wonderful orchestral songs, like Ocean Breakup songs and the very, very outstanding rendition of Hall Of The Mountian King. They are also some wonderful balladesque songs, like Bluebird, and Oh No Not Susan ( which also features THE bad word), and then the more known poppier songs, Showdown and Ma-Ma-Ma Belle. This and the following record were the pinnacle of ELO's career.

A must own.
