5 stars Pangaea is a Jazz Rock Masterpiece!

I say this because it was finally the time for a Miles fusion group to be centered on the concept of making long, adventurous songs that develop and change over time. This music is not Miles' sell-out, but perhaps a 'sell-in'.

That being said it must be known that should probably not be the starting point for anyone wishing to delve into Miles' fusion years or catalog in general. I beleive the best starting points for anyone would be Miles' border years, I.E between 'Miles in the Sky' and 'In a Silent Way'.

What seperates this album from Agharta is it is generally more chaotic and has less slow, spacy moments.

However, you can't get an MP3 of Agharta off of Amazon for $2 like Pangaea!
