4 stars Nektars's best DVD (divided in 2 parts, concert and acustical set) so far and one of the most pleasent concerts coming from a band from old school, Pure - Live in germany from 2005. As title implies the concert was filmed in Bonn, Germany in 2005, with Nektar in top form, from excellent performance to the stage light and all the ingedients to be a good concert. Here Nektar realy shines on every pieceon more then 2 hours concert. Entire Remeber the future album is played, the great The tab in the ocean among others, Recycled, the classic materl brig to life one again by a great performance by a great band , to much time in the shadow of other names. The music here is from progressive rock at best to psychedelic moments, funky beats , rock arrangements, all that defines Nektar's music and aswell the audience is very ok. The hightlight to me is the the quirky and complex Recycled, no more then 18 min of high class prog, every musician shines here no less, the bass player Randy Dembo has some fantastic parts on bass that gives overall a great atmosphere and mature work over all. Albrighton is all over the DVD with his unmatch voice brings Nekatr to a higher level here. The second DVD contains a short acoustic set, and is a nice bonus here, along with some other extra features like an interview, slideshow, bio, and discography, but I will not talked about this one here from personal reasons, the one that matters is the first DVD.. 4 stars for sure, realy gread and recommended.
