5 stars Another masterpiece. This can be "Fruitcake"'s most difficult album to get into, but after a few listenings you appreciate the potential of this band/album. Long songs with a lot of changes but always keeping the distinctive sound of "Fruitcake" (really original). Dark voice from a dark forest that accomplish the atmosphere they want to achieve, dark/mellow music with their unique sense for emotion and beauty. Again, as in "Room for surprise" we find female vocals in a couple of songs.

Just listen to "Mopery and Dopery in deep space" to appreciate the hallucinating and captivating sound of this band. Fantastic production again, so clean that shines. All musicians are exceptional and unique, the drums work as heartbeats. I wouldn't consider this band as "neoprogressive" just for the unique sound they have.

If you like "Landberk", "Anekdoten", you'll love "Fruitcake".
