3 stars This is an interesting EP debut from this psych/space band. They are from Portugal, song-writing and jamming aspects are matching on 'Flux'. Three songs are offered with a total length of 17 minutes - not much in order to come to a valuable conclusion one could say ... the talent though is unmistakebly there, you bet!

The title song comes with krautrock leanings due to a stoic repetitive progress and an industrial touch, next one Turtle bears some eclectic King Crimson leanings I'd say, I like the guitar work, and the song varies with different paces. What I'm not sure about are the saxophone contributions here, extremely mixed to the background this sounds neither fish nor fowl - as for a minor point, to make it clear.

Horizontal Blur finally pleases me much with its spacey orientation, focussed on twin guitars and tribal drums. My conclusion: this makes curious for more - anything but aimless noodling recordings, which drop a clue what will follow next on a full-fledged album.
