3 stars I remember finding this EP around 3 years ago, before the release of their full length self titled album A((wake)). The album is without a vocalist and that is truly the main issue here, the music, technically speaking, is extremely well done but this and can also write passages that diverge away from matters of pure technicality. Songs like Color Theory and Polars are particular highlights in my mind. The rest of the songs are equally significant. The only problem with the album is that there isn't much to push it beyond simply 'an enjoyable album', and I can't think of a better album that fits the 'Good, but non-essential' category. A fine EP and is highly recommended for fans of instrumental music. A promising debut from a band that would soon follow up with another great album, this time with the wise inclusion of a vocalist.
