2 stars A long time Pink Floyd fan here, so of course I will pick up this album. Yes, I will admitt, I was a little embarrased buying an album at Target, but it was there when I was picking up a toothbrush and some potting soil. (a joke- altough it may not have worked) This album is what I pictured it to be- relaxing, quiet, with Gilmour quilaity lyrics. I got what I expected, well, perhaps. It was very relaxing- but is it almost too relaxing? You be the judge there- if you want an album to put on while you study, or if you want to listen to something, but NOT REALLY focus- then this is the music for you- so it succeeds in that sence. The album has this sort of haze over it- it just kind of puts me in this mood of laziness, perhaps because of the lack of range on the album. Ok- enough of the negatives- his voice, at 60 still sounds awesome. Some of the guitar work (some) sounds like vintage Floyd. I don't reccomend this album for music fans who only like more upbeat, and faster paced music- but again, if you just want to chill, and listen to some good 'ol lazy on the porch music- get this album. 3.3 stars.
