3 stars Funny enough - it was me who proposed this band for inclusion, they were accepted with fare amount of enthusiasm, and I thought I can't even bother reviewing them. And here I'm submitting the very first review!

OK, SoAC is an instrumental band from UK, and they call their style as Prog Stoner or something. That's true about Stoner (atmosphere and heaviness prevail over melodies and diversity), but I ain't sure about Progressive - I'd rather regard this as Psychedelic. Nice stuff, but hardly essential or original. Less metal than sludgy PELICAN, less inventive than RUSSIAN CIRCLES, less interesting than EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, but quite enjoyable - after all, this is their debut record and they still have the whole world to conquer! If you want to support a young band, just go and buy this self-released CD directly from them or visit their show, which is (as I believe) really worthy. Recommended
