Well, it is pretty inevitable that Flairck one day would release a turkey. After all, they released a lot of albums. Kamers is their turkey.

This album is based on the work of the Belgian surrealist Rene Margritte.... and it is a surreal album, indeed. Kamers strikes out in every possible direction. There is even a disco/funk song included here. A ghastly, ghastly song called Ik kan niet dansen. Maybe this song is an ironic, self depreciating song. But I don't get this joke.

The rest of the album is a mix of symphonic pieces, some opera and mediative guitar pieces. There is no overriding concept on this album. It feels like plate of left-overs from yesterdays dinner, no matter what they says it is. The material is generally very weak. Only Erik Visser's version of Johan Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concerto III is of the usual Flairck standard. The rest is best forgotten.
