4 stars The hard working US musician and composer is at it again, this time with one of several releases from 2007, and for this release it's a cover album. A tribute and salute to what appears to have been highly important influences in his career, Liverpool's Fabulous Four - aka The Beatles.

Of the 17 tracks, 14 are composed by Beatles or individual members, 2 are reworks of songs already covered, and one is an original composition by Jeremy and collaborator G. Cazenave.

And the Beatles sound as good as ever, Jeremy sticks pretty close to the originals in terms of atmosphere, sound and melody; and already have a vocal delivery that despite being quite different in timbre is pretty close to the originals in most other facets. Adding some modern touches to the compositions and altering slightly the pace of a few of them is Jeremy's additions; creating subtle differences that aficionados probably will appreciate. Jeremy's own composition here is a psychedelic pop feast with the return of lord Jesus as a theme; didn't work that well for me but fans of late 60's psychedelic pop will probably embrace it.

If variations on Beatles and their tunes is your thing, you could do a lot worse than getting this CD. It's good for what it is, basically, and gives a decent amount of playing time for your money too.
