3 stars Scenario is an italian progressive matal band formed in 1997 in Rome, Italy. They released a single album so far in 2001 named A fearfull symmetry at Musea records. The music is close to Dream Theater, Shadow Gallery or from their country fellows like Empty Tremor or Madsword. They are focused more on songwriting then on long instrumental passages as DT or Shadow Gallery music has. The complexity of their music is enough good to please every prog metal fan, with groovy section, great keyboard work and great vocal department. A band and album to have if you are interested in this kind of music. The production is good and is another point in plus for this promising debute album but unfortunately without any luck to release a second one. The music is solid with catchy tunes, some of them are real strong like:Godot's Arrival (I - II - III) a great prog metal piece who has near 12 min of great instrumental passages and beautiful key works, another piece that worth mentioning is Message, the rest are ok, nothing groundbreaking but pleasent most of the time. So if you want to discover some unknown bands from prog metal try this one, you will not be deseppointed for sure. 3-3.5 stars for this album, that means is a good album with strong musicianship but nothing close to an essential listnig. The guitarist of Banco Del Mutuo Socorso - Filippo Marcheggiani is part of the band and doing aswell some backing vocals.
