Excelling at switching from acoustic/mellow parts to metal and back, and with some excellent guitar playing sparingly but effectively backed up by synths from time to time, there's lots of interesting tunes to listen to here. And as it is a concept album, fans of those will probably want to check this one out anyhow.

Main drawbacks here are vocal performance; as the vocals doesn't really seem to fit whenever the songs hit the metal parts; as well as a couple of rather cheesy tracks.

But overall a nice release, with more than a few intriguing moments to enjoy for those who enjoy the less aggressive part of the progressive metal universe.
