4 stars This track features an interesting combination of moods. A sense of frustration towards the lyrical subject's loss of hope and desire is met with the band's characteristically fuzzy guitar, organs, and a harmonically odd, if not out of place, synth melody. A straight up rock 'n' roll chorus drives the mood before a meter-shifting and vocally swirling section takes over, creating a brief sense of musical disorientation before an abrupt sense of transcendental joy and sorrow, if I may, featuring a simple yet soaring guitar/piano/bells unison melody that reminds me why I love this band. A stripped down verse section unsubtley continues the sad mood, creating space some subtle yet tasty wurly work before the tune finds itself back in frustration filled rock song where it began.

While missing the mark briefly here and there, this standalone release stands alone rather well. This is definitely worth a few listens for any prog lover and Echolyn fan.
