3 stars Drunk again

The "Three classic albums" included in this package are "Grand Hotel", "Exotic birds and fruit", and "Procol's ninth" (q.v.). These albums were released sequentially in that order in the period between 1973 And 1975. The band's line up was stable during this period, so the three albums fit well together as a package.

Within the overall cover each album is boxed individually, and presented in exactly the same format as the previously available single CD versions of the albums. There is no bonus material as such, although "Exotic birds" does include "Drunk again" which did not appear on the original LP version.

This "Three classic albums" set was one of a series of releases by various bands, offering their back catalogues at a budget price. It's good to see that rather than offering the tracks in a compilation format, the albums are offered here in the way the band intended them to be heard.
