Collaborators/Experts Reviews

Review by Eetu Pellonpaa
SPECIAL COLLABORATOR Honorary Collaborator
3 stars This album combines abstract sound walls built up from tribal instruments, electronic sounds and echo processions, and then quite repetitive psych rock passages. I really enjoyed the ambient like sound realms which this band produced, but the rock elements here weren't very excellent, so though I first had quite positive impressions from this record, the later part of the album with two over eight minutes longs of rock tracks lacking interesting aspects or musical content lowered my enthusiasm towards it. Minimalistic approach and repetition can be enjoyable, if the elements which build up the trance are pleasant, but the end result here was in my opinion quite bland. Also, due low recording levels and reverbs I was unable to comprehend anything from the singing, but maybe it was not very important anyway. If you're a fan of the style of this stuff, check this band out as you might like them more than me.
